All Ventrilo Servers are set up automatically as soon as you’ve completed your order. You will receive an email confirming that you’ve purchased a server through us that will detail the information of your server and how to log in to your Control Panel. Contact information for how to reach us with questions will also be inside the email if you are having any problems logging in to your Control Panel or your Ventrilo Server. If you cannot locate the email, please check your spam folder, as sometimes our emails get tagged as spam. Please contact us if it takes more than five minutes to receive an email with your information.
We currently support eight different locations throughout the world: seven in the United States and one in Europe. A complete list of locations can be found on the Server Locations list on the front page of our website. We suggest that you try out various servers on our Test Server list before purchasing a server. However, we allow you to move your server instantly to any location after you’ve signed up for no extra cost if another location turns out to work better for you. Further plans to support other areas of the world are being discussed, and we will announce any new locations online on our front page.
You can test out any of our eight Ventrilo Server locations from the front page of our website under Server Locations. These Ventrilo Servers are of the same quality that you will be using if you purchase a server through us, hence what you are testing is an accurate measure of voice quality and speed. Furthermore, even if you purchase a Ventrilo Server in one location based on what worked best for you on our test servers, you will be able to move locations instantly for no extra cost through your Control Panel.
Not only can you test out our eight different Ventrilo Server locations, but we also allow you to demo our Ventrilo Server Control Panel. TypeFrag is not only well known for the quality of its servers, but also for having the best Ventrilo Server Control Panel of any Ventrilo host. The importance of quality support has always been as least as important in our view as the importance of the quality of our Ventrilo Servers and our Control Panel. We offer support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week through an easy Support Ticket system found in your Control Panel. The majority of support and billing questions are answered within the hour, if not within minutes. Support is something we take very seriously at TypeFrag, and we believe that you’ll be completely satisfied with our helpfulness.
We do not limit you in how you want to use your Ventrilo Server, so we allow you to choose whether or not you wish to have your server Public or Private. You have complete control over your server and can add a server password to keep it private -- or not, if you wish to keep it public. It's your server; you configure it as you wish.
We support all voice codecs that come with Ventrilo. This includes all of the GSM codecs as well as the Speex codecs. While other Ventrilo hosts may charge you more for giving you access to all of the voice codecs that Ventrilo has to offer, we don't charge any extra for this. A simple selection in your Control Panel will instantly update your server with the voice codec you select, and we encourage you to experiment until you find the voice codec that works best for you.
We do not charge extra for you to be able to use the highest quality Ventrilo voice codec. Many Ventrilo hosts do, but since our opening day back on March 6th, 2004, we have stuck to our decision to not charge anything extra for high quality because we wanted all of our customers to be able to experience the best voice quality possible.
We shoot for 100% uptime. How? If ever you have any downtime on your server, a quick log in to your Control Panel and you can switch your Ventrilo server to anything on our network. Therefore, 100% uptime is easily attainable with TypeFrag Ventrilo servers. We're the only Ventrilo host that allows its customers this kind of freedom and control over their Ventrilo server.
