Logging in as the Server Administrator
Ignore this section if you are already logged in as an administrator.
Right-click anywhere in the white space inside the Ventrilo Client, go to Server Admin, and click Login – This will bring up the Enter Admin Password menu.
Enter your server's Admin Password and click OK.
You will now be logged in as an administrator on your server, which will be denoted by a capital “A” next to your server's name in the upper-left corner of the server.
If the password was entered incorrectly you will automatically be kicked from the server, and receive an error message informing you as such. In this situation simply reconnect to the server, repeat the process, and ensure that the password is entered without any typos.
Creating the AFK Channel

Adjusting Your AFK Settings
Right-click anywhere in the white space inside the Ventrilo Client, go to Server Admin, and click Server Properties.
In the User Inactivity section set the “Timeout” to the number of minutes required before a user is considered inactive.
Change the action from “Disconnect” to “Move to Channel”.
Click on the “…” button and select the channel that is to be your AFK channel, click OK, then click the Send button to apply these changes to your Ventrilo Server.
