How to Create a Mumble Channel

Each of the following channel tutorials will assume that you are already connected to the Mumble server with the proper access to create or edit channels. If you need assistance creating and connecting to the Mumble server as an admin, please view the How to add a user to the Admin group tutorial.

Creating Your First Mumble Channel

  1. Right click the Root channel and select Add.

  2. Enter the desired server name and description in the appropriate box.

  3. Set the position number by using the arrow keys.

    • Negative numbers will be listed above the “0” positioned channel.

    • Dragging your channels into your desired order will reset that channel’s number to the appropriate position number. If a dragged channel is positioned on the “Root” channel the channel position number will auto default to 0.

  4. Press the OK button.

Creating a Sub-Channel

  1. Right click the channel you wish to add a Sub-channel to and select Add.

  2. Enter the desired server name and description in the appropriate box.

  3. Set the position number by using the arrow keys.

  4. Press the OK button.
